Where good things grow.

The Canfor Good Things Come From Trees Foundation is an independent registered charity that invests in equitable, inclusive, community-focused and environmentally sustainable programs to build a future where everyone can thrive.

We support organizations, non-profits and educational institutions in Canada and in the US dedicated to making significant long-term benefits to the communities where our employees live and work.

  • 400+

organizations supported through the Good Things Come From Trees community giving program.

  • $2 million

Our areas of giving.

We focus on the priorities of the communities to which Canfor is closely connected.

  • We empower future generations by providing scholarships for high school and post-secondary students who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing careers in forestry and sustainability-related fields.

We also support workforce enablement, safety education, forestry and sustainability programs.

  • We promote health and well-being in the communities where we live and work by funding initiatives and equipment to promote physical and mental health.

  • Our sustainability commitment drives our investment in environmental projects that protect and restore important wildlife habitats or ecologically sensitive landscapes, profile mass timber construction and support sustainability.

  • We invest in community initiatives promoting cultural awareness and resilience through grassroots projects, events, product donations for infrastructure and support for Indigenous communities and traditions. We empower future generations by funding sustainability programs and providing scholarships to students pursuing forestry-related careers.
